Today at the NSW Masters AGM Pirates were named the Club of the Year for 2013. This is awarded each year to the club who win the most points in various criteria, including percentage of members competing in State Championships, Relay Meet, BPS meets, number of officials on pool deck at each carnival, reports, website, facebook, club uniform, Endurance swims and various others. We won the award due to the high percentage of our members competing in the various programs that Masters swimming offers , and this is due to our increase in numbers of members, increase in the numbers of members swimming with us, whether at training or at carnivals and our fantastic enthusiasm for our sport and our club.
Above is the picture of Sandra and Emma accepting the award this afternoon on behalf of our members. May I congratulate everyone in the club for being part of such a fantastic club and thankyou for your participation in whatever form.
We also received the award for the highest percentage increase in the number of points in BPS and State Meets in division 1 for 2013.
Thanks for a great 2013 and 2014 is shaping to be an even bigger year.
